Cub scouts (8-10.5)

The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers.

Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½.

There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 7½ and can move to Scouts between age 10 and 11.

For Cubs, excitement, challenge and adventure are key. Meetings are held weekly and we also offer many activities organised at the weekends and in the holidays. During their time in the Pack, Cub Scouts will get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on camps. They will get the opportunity to attend a camp at least twice a year.

Our Cub Packs are organised into small groups called Sixes, each headed up by an older Cub called a Sixer who is assisted by a Seconder.

Here in Fetcham we have 3 Cub Scout Packs.

  • Mole Pack – Monday 6.30 – 8pm
  • Downs Pack – Tuesday 6.30 – 8pm
  • Centenary Pack – Wednesday 6.30 – 8pm
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
