Beaver scouts (6-8)

The Beaver Colony is the first section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old.

Beavers are our youngest members, and generally meet for an hour per week with occasional weekend activities. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of Scouting.

Beavers will get the opportunity to attend a camp with their parents at least once a year.

Here in Fetcham we have 3 Beaver Scout Colonies.

  • Bocketts Colony – Monday 5 – 6pm
  • Norbury Colony – Wednesday 5 – 6pm
  • Hawks Colony – Thursday 5 – 6pm
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
